Posting Policy
HFS posts materials at our discretion when the content promotes a campus or UW community program, school, organization, activity or event. Registered Student Organizations and UW partners may submit community announcements for display in designated areas.
There are two ways to post materials within residential communities: digital ads and physical posters. Digital ads are shown on digital television screens within the majority of our residential communities. Physical posters are put up in designated locations in all our residential communities. If you have any questions about the differences between the two, please email reslife@uw.edu.
The individual or organization submitting a request is responsible for creating the materials. All materials must conform to state and local laws and the policies of the UW and HFS.
All postings must include:
Name of the sponsoring organization or office and its contact information
Date, location and price of the event (if applicable)
Information on how participants can request a disability accommodation, if appropriate
Once approved, postings will be displayed for up to two weeks, or until 24 hours after the event—whichever comes first.
An organization responsible for improper posting may lose the privilege of posting information or reserving rooms in University Housing. Any event improperly advertised that utilizes University Housing space may be canceled.
Digital Advertising Requirements
Submit your digital ad through the digital ad request form or via email to reslife@uw.edu. Once approved, these ads will be displayed on digital screens within the residential communities and amenities spaces.
